The opening meeting of the project “E-learning tools for Food technology and development education” was held at IUT Bourg-en-Bresse in the period 24.01.2023 - 28.01.2023.
IUT Bourg-en-Bresse hosted the kick-off meeting of the project “E-learning tools for Food technology and development education” in the period 24.01.2023 - 28.01.2023. The meeting was held in a hybrid version - in person and online, and representatives of all teams from the consortium took part in it. The meeting was led by Prof. Georgi Kostov, DSc, - project coordinator. The participants in the meeting presented each of the partner organizations, its structure and curricula. Prof. Kostov made guiding presentations about the goals and objectives of the E-Food project, as well as the work packages and the key activities for its implementation. All team members from the partner universities took part in the discussion. Prof. Rafael Pagan, Prof. Endre Mathe, Prof. Ion Mironescu and Prof. Pascal Dupeux made presentations of their universities and the teams involved in E-Food. A number of issues related to the implementation of the project were discussed during the three days of the kick-off meeting. The guests had the opportunity to visit the IUT laboratories and the Erasmus+ office of the University "Claude Bernard" Lyon 1, France.
In addition to the working part, the hosts had organized an official dinner in one of the city's most refined restaurants, where the guests had the chance to taste the local traditional cuisine and the traditional Bresse chicken. The typical breed of chickens is raised only in this area.
